The last thing Vaughan Hewson expects to find when he returns to his childhood home is a broken hearted bride in his shower, let alone the drama and chaos that comes with her.
Lydia Green doesn’t know whether to burn down the church or sit and cry in a corner. Discovering the love of your life is having an affair on your wedding day is bad enough. Finding out it’s with his best man is another thing all together. She narrowly escapes tying the knot and meets Vaughan only hours later.
Vaughan is the exact opposite of the picture perfect, respected businessman she thought she’d marry. This former musician-turned-bartender is rough around the edges and unsettled. But she already tried Mr. Right and discovered he’s all wrong-maybe it’s time to give Mr. Right Now a chance.
After all, what’s wrong with getting dirty?
About the Author:

She was voted Australian Romance Writer of the year, 2013, by the Australian Romance Writer’s Association and her books have been translated into six different languages. She is a long time fan of romance, rock music, and B-grade horror films. Based in Queensland, Australia with her two children and husband, she reads, writes and never dithers around on the internet.
I am a huge follower of Kylie Scott. From the moment I read Lick (Stage Dive #1), I knew it was over. Since then, I’ve stalked her facebook, twitter, and newsletter so I can get every smidgen of information from her. When she announced the new series, Dive Bar, I was SO excited.
Kylie didn’t disappoint with her newest novel. Her novels are always full of plenty of sexual tension, humor, and passionate love. She can leave you crying one minute, and then laughing your ass off the next. I want to meet her in person for this very reason, because her sarcastic humor is just SO amazing to me!
Dirty starts off with the gorgeous, plus-sized, fiesty character named Lydia. That’s another reason why I love Kylie, because she creates the plus-sized women and gives them men that are worthy of their beauty. LOVE IT! Anyway, Lydia just found out that her fiance is basically the biggest asshole in the face of the earth. He played her and the whole town knew about it. Finding out your fiance is gay on your wedding day would send anyone running for the hills…or in Lydia’s case, over the backyard fence.
Vaughan probably thought she was the craziest person when he walked into his bathroom and saw the sobbing bride, soggy and covered in dirt…and in his shower. I don’t want to give too much away, so I’m not going to say much more about the plot. The characters were an incredible fit, and Kylie did what she always does: Put two slightly crazy but adorable people together and made them fall in love.
The way they fall for each other is so natural. The pacing of the story doesn’t feel to rushed, even though the actual timeline of it is so short. Every single moment within this novel evokes such emotion, whether it be happy or sad. It is the first novel in another series that I’m positive will end up being another hit.
